LINCOLN - Marie Christine Colling and Martin Frederick Kipper, both of Lincoln, were united in marriage on May 31, 2008, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Lincoln with the Rev. Paul Colling, uncle and godfather of the bride, of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Lexington and the Rev. Benjamin Holdren of St. Patrick Parish, Lincoln officiating.

Parents of the couple are David and Emma Jean Colling of McCook, Gary Kipper and Randy and Theresa Polkinghorn of Lincoln.

Grandparents of the bride are Mary Colling and the late Francis Colling and Nellie McConville of McCook and the late Leo McConville.

The bridegroom's grandparents are Flora Kipper of Laguna Hills, Calif., the late Matthew Kipper and the late Martin and Laura Frerking of Beatrice.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore a white strapless gown with a beaded sweetheart neckline and taffeta pick up skirt and chapel train. The veil was beaded to match the gown with a silver tiara headpiece with imitation pearls and diamonds. The bride carried a bouquet of yellow roses which included a rosary, blessed by Pope Benedict XVI, belonging to her late Great-Uncle Paul Arthaud.

Laura Colling and Anne McCarville, sisters of the bride, both of Lincoln, were the maid and matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lanette Kinne, of Omaha, cousin of the bride and Laura Michalek, sister of the bridegroom, of Mystic, Conn. They wore spaghetti strap long chiffon dresses with a beaded empire waist and wraps in colors of clover or banana. They carried white rose bouquets.

The bridegroom wore a black tuxedo with a white vest and tie and a yellow rose boutonnière. Matthew Kipper, twin brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. The bridegroomsmen were Jacob Reed, Philip Fleming and John Miller, all of Lincoln. All wore black tuxedos with a banana or clover vest and tie with white rose boutonnières.

The flower girls were Hannah Colling, niece of the bride, and Laura Miller, both of Lincoln. They wore white dresses with banana or clover straps around the waist and flowered wreaths in their hair. Andrew Colling and Nathan Colling, nephews of the bride, also of Lincoln, were the ring bearers, in black tuxedos with white vests and ties.

Ushers were Mark Colling, brother of the bride, Travis McCarville, brother-in-law of the bride and Allen Bogacki, all from Lincoln and Philip Colling, uncle of the bride, of Omaha.

The lector was Daniel Colling, uncle of the bride, of Kansas City, Mo. Acolytes were Ronald Colling, uncle of the bride, of Osceola and Richard Rayer, uncle of the bride, of Indianola. The altar server was Devin Hoelscher, cousin of the bride, of Bartley.

Jane Rayer, aunt of the bride, of Indianola, was the organist. Vocalists were Diana Colling, cousin of the bride, of Lincoln and Marla Hoelscher, cousin of the bride, of Bartley. At communion, David Colling, father of the bride, and Marla Hoelscher sang a duet "Behold the Lamb."

Eucharistic gifts were presented by Mary Colling, grandmother and godmother of the bride, of McCook and Carol Hock, aunt of the bride, of Culbertson.

The bride's personal attendant was Robin Colling, sister-in-law of the bride, of Lincoln.

Guestbook attendants were Mindy Hubka, cousin of the bridegroom, and Kent Stetson, both of Omaha. .

The bride's cousins, Julie Colling of San Diego, Calif., and Danielle Colling of Omaha, were program attendants. Bubble attendants were Katelyn Kinne, of McCook and Madeline Eustace, of Newton, Kan., cousins of the bride. Flower attendants were Ronda Colling of Omaha and Lois Kinne of McCook, both aunts of the bride and Geraldine Jensen, aunt of the bridegroom, of Kansas City, Mo.

A reception, dinner and dance were at the Cornhusker Social Hall. Host couples were Jonathon and Patricia Burkey, uncle and aunt of the bride, of McCook and Steve and Teri Hubka, uncle and aunt of the bridegroom, of Lincoln.

Cake serving table attendants were Joyce Colling, aunt of the bride, of Osceola, Janet Cornwell, cousin of the bride, of Indianola and Vicki Frerking, aunt of the bridegroom, of Beatrice. .

The bride received a bachelor's degree from UNL and is employed at Village Manor Nursing Home as an assistant to the Activities Director and the bridegroom is employed at Art F/X Screen-printing and Embroidery.

After a honeymoon trip to South Dakota, the couple resides in Lincoln.
