Brianna and James Davis

DENVER, Colo. -- Brianna Marie Davis and James Everett Davis of Denver, Colo., were united in marriage on Oct. 4, 2008, in The Open Air Chapel in the Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, in Littleton, Colo., with the Rev. Bruce Caldwell of Woodland, Colo. officiating.

Parents of the couple are Kenneth and Catherine Davis of McCook, Clarence and Joanne Davis of Chandler, Texas and Dianne and John Bristow of Duncanville, Texas.

Grandparents of the bride are Marian Davis of Curtis, the late Roy Davis and the late Charles and Agnes Real. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Pauline Gilbert of Tyler, Texas and the late George Gilbert, William McCarty of Dallas, Texas and the late Bertie McCarty and Bob and Mildred Purkiss of Arlington, Texas

Tobi Hunter, sister of the bride, of Loveland, Colo., was the maid of honor. McKenna Hunter, niece of the bride, of Loveland was the junior bridesmaid.

Tracy Main of Phoenix, Ariz., served as best man. Clarence Davis, father of the bridegroom, of Tyler was the bridegroomsman.

Jaiya Braden of Grand Island, was the flowergirl and Xander Braden of Grand Island was the ring bearer.

Heidi Braden of Grand Island served as the bride's personal attendant and Carol Vu, sister of the bridegroom, of Grand Prairie, Texas was also in attendance.

Ushers were Tim Corley, brother of the bride, Dallas and Jim Braden of Grand Island.

A reception followed the ceremony in the Green Farm Barn at the Botanic Gardens of Chatfield. Guests signed leaves to hang on the couple's "wish tree" made by McKenna Hunter.

The bride-to-be graduated from McCook Senior High in 1994, and earned an Associates degree in 1996, from McCook Community College. She graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. She works for the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) in Denver as an assistant editor.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from Humanex Academy in Lakewood, Colo., in 1994. He is a telecommunications engineer for Avaya, Inc. in Highlands Ranch, Colo.

A honeymoon in Las Vegas is planned for later in the year.

The couple is making their home in Denver, Colo.
