EDMOND, Kan. -- Steven Earl Ladner, 58, died Tuesday (May 20, 2008) at his home in Edmond, Kan.

He was born Dec. 27, 1949, in Garden City, Kan., to Charles and Laurabelle (Hamton) Ladner.

He attended the Edmond Grade School and graduated from Lenora High School with the class of 1968. He also attended Goodland Vo-Tech.

He had lived in Ulysses, Kan., for a time, returning to Edmond. He was an electrician by trade and was working at DSNWK in Norton.

He was a member of the Edmond Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and his step-father, Harlan Stephen.

Survivors include his father, Charles Ladner of Reserve, N.M.; one son, Robert and wife, Jamie Hardin of Graham, Wash.; one daughter, Angie and husband, Chris Callihan of Parker, Colo.; one brother, Brad Stephen of Indianola; one sister, Reesa and husband, Bill Bebb of Kearney; and four grandchildren.

Services are Wednesday, 2 p.m., at First United Methodist Church in Norton, Kan., followed by a private inurnment service at the Edmond Cemetery.

Memorial may be given.

Enfield Funeral Home of Norton, is in charge of arrangements.
