Alberts, Applegarth engagement
Staci Alberts and Matthew Applegarth of Palisade announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. Parents of the couple are Deb Rathe of Palisade, the late Kirwin Alberts nd Kurt and Janet Applegarth of Palisade.
The bride's grandparents are Leola Alberts of Palisade and the late "Smokey" Alberts. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Paul and Donna Applegarth of Palisade and Guy and Melba Fries of Benkelman.
The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Wauneta-Palisade high school and is attending Chadron State College pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in education with a field endorsement in 7-12 mathematics
The prospective bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Wauneta-Palisade high school and is a 2005 graduate of Northwest Kansas Technical College with an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in diesel technology. He farms and ranches with his father in the Palisade area.
A June 7, 2008, wedding ceremony is planned at United Methodist Church in Wauneta.
