OMAHA -- Dorothy Louise (Wolf) Loghry, 89, died Tuesday (May 22 2007) at Bergen Mercy Hospital in Omaha.  

She was born Sept. 27, 1917, in Frontier County to Reece and Ruth (Cathcart) Wolf. She grew up at Quick where her father owned the general store and her mother was the Post Mistress. She attended school in rural Frontier County and graduated from the University Of Nebraska School of Agriculture in 1936. 

On Jan. 31, 1938, she was united in marriage to Joseph Emerson Loghry at Maywood. They farmed in the Quick area until his death in 1951. She remained on the farm until 1955, when she moved to McCook.  She was employed by Zephyer Cleaners until their closing. She became employed by McCook Schools Cafeteria and retired in 1967. 

She was a professional seamstress for Turman's Store for Men, Clapp's Store for Women and Gen's Bridal Shop.  She was employed by the Nebraska National Guard as a facilities engineer retiring in 1990.  She lived in McCook until 2002 when she moved to Omaha.

She became a member of the McCook Memorial United Methodist Church in 1963.  She was a member of the Business and Professional Women of McCook, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. 

She spent the winters in Omaha, with her daughter Mary Anne from 1991-2001.  In 2002, she sold her home in McCook and moved to Omaha to be with her daughter. 

Preceding her in death were her parents, Reece and Ruth Wolf; her husband, Joseph; four brothers, Grant, Deane, Cecil and Theodore Wolf; and one sister, Mabel.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Anne O'Dea of Omaha; son, Leroy Loghry and wife, Alene of Edison; onegrandson; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Adele Wolf of Baldwin Park, Calif., and Glee Wolf of Renton, Wash.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook with the Rev Kirk Einspahr officiating.  Burial will be in the Maywood Cemetery.

Visitation is today until 5 p.m., Monday from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday morning until time of service at the funeral home. Friends may leave condolences online at www.carpenterbreland.com.
