Margaret Ann (Murphy) Fisher died Tuesday (May 22, 2007) at Wheatridge, Colo., at the age of 87.

She was born in Red Willow County Nov. 13, 1919, the youngest of four children of James R. Murphy and Amanda F. Campbell.

She lived the majority of her life in Danbury, Lebanon and McCook area, graduating from Lebanon High School.

Margaret married Homer F. Fisher on Oct. 11, 1937. They had one daughter, Diane.

She was a homemaker and family was her priority. She was generous in helping family members. Reading was a pastime in her younger life and she belonged to several book clubs. Later in life she became an avid sports fan.

She was an accomplished seamstress, sewing for her grandchildren, sewing quilt pieces, and doing alterations. She loved animals, especially cats, and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include loving husband, Homer; daughter, Diane; son-in-law, Jim Harvanek; grandchildren, Michael Harvanek, Maria and husband, Garett Habitz, and David and wife, Laura Harvanek; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Samuel Harvanek, Cecilia and Thomas Harvanek, and Evan and Hayden Habitz; one cousin; and various nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m.. on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook. Inurnment will be in the Lebanon Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
