Amanda and Billy Lee Davidson

Amanda Kay Hock of Culbertson and Billy Lee Davidson of McCook were united in marriage Jan. 6, 2007, at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook with the Rev. Paul Colling of Lexington, uncle of the bride and the Rev. Vince Parsons, of Grand Island, officiating. The Rev. Gary Brethour and the Rev. Lawrence Ejiofo, both of McCook, celebrated the Mass.

Neal Hock of Culbertson, brother of the bride, escorted his sister to the altar.

Parents of the couple are Carol Hock of Culbertson, the late Bernard Hock, Suzanne Davidson of Curtis and David and Connie Davidson of McCook.

Grandparents are Mary Colling of McCook and the late Francis Colling, the late Leslie and Maxine Hock, Betty Davidson of Indianola and the late Lee Davidson, Kenneth Luther of McCook and the late Louise Luther.

The bride wore a strapless gown styled in a two piece look featuring a platinum embroidered bodice and crystal beading with a scalloped beaded waist-line. The soft organza skirt featured back layered bustles and ended in a Tiffany train. She carried a bouquet of red roses with her rosary entwined in the bouquet.

The maid of honor was Melissa Hock, sister of the bride, of Culbertson. Bridesmaids were Sarah Hock, sister of the bride, of Culbertson, Rebecca Hock, sister of the bride, of McCook and Angela Parsons, sister of the bridegroom, of Auburn. They each wore claret floor-length gowns and carried bouquets of white roses. The flower girl was Sydney Parsons, niece of the bridegroom, of Auburn.

The bride's personal attendants were Karen Bortner, sister of the bride, of McCook and Janice Corcoran, aunt of the bride, of Fort Collins, Colo.

The best man was Luke Bortner, cousin of the bridegroom, of McCook. Bridegroomsmen were Matt Jorgensen of North Platte, Derek Dempcy of Kearney and James Parsons, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, of Auburn. The ring bearer was Kaden Cole of Curtis.

Philip Weskamp, cousin of the bridegroom, Michael Deveny, Rick Edwards and Seth Brashears served as ushers.

Vocalists were Theresa Hock of Fort Collins, Colo., and Sharlene Hock of Lincoln, cousins of the bride.

The cellist was Alesia Hock, cousin of the bride, of Culbertson and the violinist was Sharlene Hock. The organist was Chris Lyons of McCook.

Guestbook attendants were Nessa Hock, cousin of the bride of Lincoln, and Nicole Felker, cousin of the bridegroom, of McCook.

A reception and dance were at the Republican Valley Event Center. Host couples were George and Kathy Hock uncle and aunt of the bride and Lonnie and Barbara Weskamp, uncle and aunt of the bridegroom.

The bride is a student at McCook Community College and will graduate in May. The bridegroom is employed with Deveny Motors of McCook as the finance manager.

After a honeymoon in San Diego, Calif., the couple is making their home in McCook.
