Charles D. Burns

Charles Dewane Burns, 47, died Saturday (April 21, 2007) at Community Hospital in McCook.

He was born April 26, 1959, at Watseka, Ill., the son of Riley and Joan (Smith) Burns. He grew up in Portland, Ore., where he attended high school.

In 1997, his family moved to Trenton, where he remained until his death.

He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Paula Ann.

He is survived by his parents, Riley and Joan Burns of Trenton; two sisters, Sherylenn Smith of Dongola, Ill., and Vicki Powers and husband, Gary of Silver Lake, Wash.; relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be Friday 10:30 a.m., at Church of God in Trenton, with the Rev. Johnny Walker officiating.

There will be no visitation and friends may sign his memorial book at the service.

Memorials may be given in his name.

Herrmann Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of arrangements.
