BARTLEY?-- Gary Leon Lang, 66, died Sunday (March 11, 2007) at Community Hospital in McCook.

He was born in Bartley on Oct. 17, 1940, to George Clifford and Elsie May (Hann) Lang.  He graduated from Bartley High School in 1958.  He then went to Sidney, where he studied auto body and fender repair.

In 1960, he entered the U.S. Army serving until 1963.  After the service, he was united in marriage to Marsha Erickson at Bartley in 1963. He lived in Fort Morgan, Loveland, Greeley and Fort Collins, Colo., doing body and fender work. 

He was married to Cathy Bass in 1981. He lived in Milwaukee, Wis., for eight years after retirement before returning to Bartley two years ago.

 He was a member of the Pawnee Free Trappers

He was preceded in death by his father, George in December 0f 1994.

He is survived by his mother, Elsie Lang of Bartley; four daughters, Kimberly Greenwood of Hastings, Dianna Jo Dispasquale of Port St. Lucy, Fla., Lisa Lang of Las Vegas, Nev., and Lori Lang of Sacramento, Calif.; one son, Christopher and wife, Carolyn of Overland Park, Kan.; one sister, Carol Ann and husband, Leonard Sagel of Lebanon, Mo.;  10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 2 p.m., at Lockenour Jones Mortuary in Cambridge. Interment will be in the Bartley Cemetery. A military committal will be provided by the William Wight Post No. 245 of  Bartley. 

Memorials may be left in his name to the Bartley Ambulance Fund.
