Ruppert, DeWitt wedding
HASTINGS -- Ashley Michelle Ruppert of Kansas City Mo. and Daniel Joel De Witt of Orange City, Iowa, were united in marriage Aug. 5, 2006, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Hastings with the Rev. Jim Miller officiating.
Parents of the couple are Jeff and Angie Ruppert of McCook, Rick and Lona Rader of Hastings and Jeff and Lila DeWitt of Luverne, Minn.
The bride's grandparents are Doris Ruppert of McCook and Larry and Judy Rader of Hastings. The bridegroom's grandparents are John and Arlene Van Es of Hospers, Iowa and John and Greta De Witt of Sioux Falls, S. D.
Maid of honor was Audrey Sevenker, sister of the bride, of Lincoln. Bridesmaids were Kailey Rader, sister of the bride, of Hastings, Angela Schuiteman, of Orange City, Iowa, Cara Parliament of Bellevue, Deanna Carpenter, sister of the bride, of Lincoln and Elizabeth De Witt, sister of the bridegroom, of Laverne.
The best man was Jeff DeWitt, father of the bridegroom, of Laverne. Bridegroomsmen were William DeWitt and Jon De Witt, both brothers of the bridegroom, of Sioux Falls, Kendal Stanislav of Orange City and Chad DeJager of Grand Rapids, Mich.
The flower girl was Morgan DeWitt, niece of the bridegroom, of Sioux Falls and the ring bearer was Carter DeWitt, nephew of the bridegroom, also of Sioux Falls. Candlelighters were Ellie Carpenter, bride's niece, of Lincoln and Megan Ruppert, bride's cousin, of McCook.
Ushers were Jeremy Carpenter, the bridegroom's brother, of Lincoln, Dustin Rader, the bride's brother, of Kearney, and honorary usher Michael Carpenter, bride's brother, of Lincoln, who is serving in Iraq.
The violinist was Sarah Gabel and the soloist and guitarist was Kelly Gabel, both of Kansas City, Mo.
A reception was at the Holiday Inn at Hastings. Guest book attendants were Arlue Van Ommeren of Hospers. Host couples were Donny and Diane Ruppert of McCook and Randy and Chere DeWitt of Sioux Falls.
The couple spent their honeymoon near Colorado Springs, Colo.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Adams Central High School in Hastings and a 2004 graduate of Northwestern University in Orange City. She is in her third year of medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Southwest Christian High School in Edgerton, Minn., and a 2006 graduate of Northwestern University in Orange City. He is the physical education teacher and coaches varsity boy's soccer, middle school boy's basketball and varsity boy's baseball at Agape Christian Academy in Canton, Mich.
The couple resides at Riverview, Mich.
