OBERLIN -- Rose Marie Weaver, 69, died Friday (Jan. 2, 2007) at Kearney.

She was born April 18, 1937, to Floyd and Ida (Perona) Holliday, in Oberlin. She grew up in the Oberlin area. She attended Oberlin Elementary School and graduated from Decatur Community High School.

She married Lawrence Weaver on July 11, 1953, in McCook. They lived in McCook, before moving to Kearney in 1968. She worked construction with her husband.

She was a member of the Methodist Church and Eagles Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ida Holliday; husband, Lawrence; one son, Leroy Weaver; and a brother, Floyd Alan Holliday.

Survivors include her son, Larry Weaver and wife, Cindy of North Platte; two daughters, Deb Weaver of Kearney and Diane Weaver of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Paul Holliday and wife, Dot of Palestine, Texas; six sisters, Patsy Baine and husband, Mike of Haven, Kan., Mary Allison and husband, Ken of Larned, Kan., Nor Bell Manning of Oberlin, Darlene Glover and husband, Jim of Bentonville, Ark., Berta Lee Gains and husband, Otis of Antlers, Okla., and Pansy Lambert and husband, Bob of Stockton, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday 2 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin, with Mr. Otis Gains and Mr. Rich Epp officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m., and Tuesday from 8 a.m., until time of service. A family and friends luncheon will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.

Memorials may be given to Hospice or Eagles Auxiliary of Kearney.
