Wellman, Ringus wedding
LINCOLN --Lisa Diane Wellman of McCook and Jared Charles Ringus of Clear Lake, Iowa, were united in marriage on July 8, 2006, in Lincoln at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Liam Barr officiating.
Parents of the couple are Kenneth and Mary Wellman of Lincoln and Charles and Lana Ringus of Clear Lake, Iowa. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Gladys Ringus of Mason City, Iowa and Dawn Cheney of Greene, Iowa.
The maid of honor was Kristen O'Brien of Omaha. Bridesmaids were Taleena Orcutt of Omaha, Abby Ringus, sister of the bridegroom, of Le Claire, Iowa, Julie Hanquist of Lincoln, and Jessica Moeller of Urbandale, Iowa.
Brad Spilman of Clear Lake was the best man. Bridegroomsmen were Scott Eichmeier of Altoona, Iowa, Caley Cheney, cousin of the bridegroom, of Iowa City, Iowa, Joe Wellman, brother of the bride, of Omaha, and Bob Wellman, brother of the bride, of Omaha.
Kenna Eckenrod, cousin of the bridegroom, of Williamsburg, Iowa was the flower girl. Ushers were Josh Dillavou of Kansas City, Kan., Tom Menke of Iowa City, Iowa, Tony Ball of Peosta, Iowa, Jeff Olson of Urbandale, Iowa, and Jack Hyde of Ankeny, Iowa. Russell Kempton, cousin of the bride, of Lincoln was the soloist.
A reception followed the ceremony at Embassy Suites in Lincoln. Nancy Savery, aunt of the bride, of Lincoln, was the guestbook attendant. Host couples were Steve and Joyce Kempton, uncle and aunt of the bride, of Waverly and Kim and Sue Pleggenkuhle of Clear Lake.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of McCook High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Nebraska Wesleyan in marketing. She is a marketing administrator for McCartan Insurance Group, Nationwide Insurance.
The bridegroom earned a Bachelor's Degree from University of Northern Iowa and is a commercial real estate agent for Iowa Realty Commercial
After a Grand Cayman Island honeymoon, the couple is making their home in West Des Moines, Iowa.
