Fern A. Sutton, age 86, died Tuesday (Oct. 10, 2006) at Cambridge Court in Kearney.

She was born May 2, 1920, on a farm north of Ludell, to John Henry and Lillian A. (Most) Frick.  She attended rural school near Ludell and then Atwood Schools.

On Nov. 30, 1942, she married Harry Pisar at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in McCook. He preceded her in death in 1970.  On April 20, 1974, she married Jack D. Sutton in McCook.  He preceded her in death in 1989.  

She was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church, Altar Society, the McCook BPOE Does, PEO GY, and the Hospital Auxiliary where she volunteered for many years as a Pink Lady. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillian Frick; her husbands, Harry Pisar and Jack Sutton; one step-daughter, Mary Dodot; granddaughter, Desiree Dodot; and two brothers, Robert and Gene Frick.           

Survivors include her son, John Pisar and wife, Lynn, of Spokane, Wash.; daughter, JoAnn DeJonge and husband, Dennis, of Kearney; step-children, Paul Sutton and wife, Marie, John Sutton and wife, Lori, all of McCook, Charles Sutton and wife, Diane, of Westminster, Colo., Robert Sutton of Cle Elum, Wash.;  four sisters, Vera Moorman of Sulfur Spring, Ark., Betty Olita of Cordova, Tenn., Irene Stumbo of Kearney, and Ruby Rice and husband, Phil, of  Ponca City, Okla.; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be Friday 2 p.m., at St. Alban's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Sam Williams and the Rev. John Gosswin officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
