Vera May Brown Tuller

WILLARD, Mo. -- Vera May Brown Tuller, 77, died Sunday (July 30, 2006) in Missouri.

She was born Feb. 1, 1929, at Danbury to Victor and Etta May Brown. She was raised in Danbury, graduated with honors from Danbury High School, attended McCook Junior College and the University of Nebraska, receiving her teaching credentials in 1948.

On Sept. 16, 1950, she married Douglas Wayne Tuller in McCook.

They farmed in the Trenton area where she taught elementary school for 12 years before moving to Lebanon, Mo., where they built and operated Tuller's KOA Campground. She continued teaching and later worked for several years at Zion National Park in Utah before moving to Willard where she was employed at Fantastic Caverns.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, and son Randy in 1958.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy May of Fair Grove, Mo.; a sister, Lela Ruby of Nebraska; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Burial will be Thursday, 2 p.m., at the Lebanon Cemetery in Lebanon, Neb.

Visitation is Wednesday, 2-4 p.m. at Greenlawn North .
