Ashley Michelle Ruppert of Hastings and Daniel Joel DeWitt of Orange City, Iowa, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. Parents of the bride-to-be are Zolona and Rick Rader of Hastings and Jeff and Angie Ruppert of McCook. The prospective bridegroom's parents are Lila and Jeff DeWitt of Luverne, Minn. The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology/chemistry. She is a medical student at Kansas City School of Medicine and Bioscience in Kansas City, Mo., where she is pursuing a doctor of osteopathy degree. The prospective bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Northwestern College where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in teaching physical education and health. He is employed by the City of Orange City.
