Helen M. Litz

BEAVER CITY -- Helen M. Litz, 87, died Friday (July 7, 2006) at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege.

She was born Dec. 25, 1918, at Wilsonville to Charlie and Glades (Williams) Litz.

She grew up in the Wilsonville area, graduating from Wilsonville High School. She taught Country School for several years, beginning at age 18. She then attended and graduated from Kearney State Teachers College at Kearney. She taught county school after graduation and later taught in the Wilsonville school system for more than 30 years. She retired in the mid 1980s.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include one brother, Robert L. Litz of Columbus, Ohio; and one sister, Marjorie and husband, Robert Warner of Arapahoe.

Services will be Monday, 10:30 a.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Theobald officiating. Burial will follow at the Wilsonville Cemetery in Wilsonville.

Viewing and visitation is Saturday and Sunday, 1-8 p.m., at the Wenburg Funeral Home and prior to services Monday.
