LINN CREEK, Minn., -- Kenneth Leroy Brown, 70, died Friday (May 5, 2006) near his home in the Linn Creek, Mo. area.

He was born in February 1936 to Lawrence J. and Gertrude (Clouse) Brown in Bartley. He was raised in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School. After graduating, he worked as a seismologist and then moved to St. Louis, Mo., where he worked for Midwest Hardwood and for the Ramsey Corporation. After moving to the Lake of the Ozarks later in his life, he worked as an electrician for Union Electric, until his retirement in 1998.

He was active in the Camden county Senior Citizens Center and was named King of the senior center during the Dogwood Festival in March 2006. He was a member of the WArson Woods Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Francis E. Brown.

He is survived by a dear friend, Wallace R. Gibbons of the home; a brother, Donald Brown of North Platte; and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Brown of Denver, Colo.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge. Burial will be in the Bartley Cemetery in Bartley.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lockenour Jones Mortuary of Cambridge.
