CULBERTSON -- Dewey William Le Droit, 68, formerly of North Platte, died Thursday (Dec. 29, 2005) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

He was born Nov. 22, 1937, to Dewey and Elizabeth (Spiegel) Le Droit in Lexington. He grew up in North Platte and Lexington.

He was a cook at the Platte Cafe and Elks Club in North Platte and worked at the Holiday Inn for 21 years. He also worked at Madison Middle School and Flying J as a maintenance worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece.

Survivors include three sisters, Lucille Hagan of Culbertson, Shirley and husband, Dennis Ogborn and Louise Tridle, all of North Platte; three brothers, Russell and wife Artie Le Droit of Republican City, Loren Le Droit of North Platte and Donald George and wife Deanna Le Droit of Adrian, Mich.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Chapel in North Platte with the Rev. Richard Karr officiating. Burial will be at the Culbertson cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday and Sunday, noon-6 p.m. and Monday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Culbertson Fire Department.
