NORTH PLATTE -- Donald L. Wilson, 76, died Saturday (Sept. 3, 2005) at Centennial Park Retirement Village of North Platte.

He was born Oct. 20, 1928, in Ogallala to Charles and Emma Carse Wilson. He graduated from Palisade High School and served in the U.S. Navy.

He married Pauline Egle in Palisade. He worked as a general contractor in Colorado. After retiring, he returned to Nebraska where he made fishing lures. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Methodist Church of Palisade.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Pauline in 1986.

Survivors include two sons, Dennis Wilson and wife, Nancy of South Berwick, Maine,and Brent Wilson and wife, Kate of South Milwaukee, Wis.; a sister, Darlene Bixler and husband, Duane of Palisade; a brother, Loyde Wilson and wife, Irene of Carson City, Nev.; and two grandchildren.

Inurnment will be Friday, 10 a.m., at the Palisade Cemetery with Military Honors. Services will follow at the Palisade Methodist Church. This will be a joint-service for Donald and Pauline.

Memorials are being accepted in his name at the American Legion, VFW and Methodist Church of Palisade.

Carpenter Memorial Chapel of North Platte is in charge of arrangements.
