Laura C. Buzzell

TRENTON -- Laura Celestial Buzzell, 99, died Friday (Aug. 19, 2005) at the ElDorado Manor Home in Trenton.

She was born April 18, 1906, to Charles and Mollie (Rheinheimer) Williams in Mascot. She grew up on a farm north of McCook and graduated from Culbertson High School in 1925.

Laura married Ernest M. Buzzell on April 18, 1929. The couple spent their married life in Culbertson. She was a lifelong member of Bethel Chapter 109 Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest in 1981 and one sister, Fayne Grannis.

Survivors include one daughter, Erna Jean Rehfuss and husband, Thomas of Union, Ore.; two sisters, Velma Steinke of Trenton and Veldron Hall of McCook; one grandson, Kurt Rehfuss and wife, Connie of Wilsonville, Ore.; and relatives and friends.

Services will be Friday, 2 p.m., at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Culbertson with the Rev. Dan Spearow officiating, the casket will be closed. Interment will be in the Culbertson Cemetery in Culbertson.

Memorials may be given in her name and friends may call at Herrmann Funeral chapel in Culbertson.
