Wilma L. Bone, 91, died Monday (Aug. 1, 2005), at her daughter's home north of McCook.

She was born July 2, 1914, at Kensington, Kan., to Ray and Lottie (Chance) Diamond. She grew up at Herndon and graduated from high school there. She lived in McCook for 59 years.

On Memorial Day 1935, she married Ralph Raymond Bone in Hollywood, Kan.

She was a member of First Congregational where she directed the first Junior Choir at the church. She also was a member of the Burlington Northern Railroad Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Lottie Diamond; husband Ralph; brother, Max Diamond; and two sisters, Verna Grafel, and Delores Chambers.

Survivors include daughters, Rosalie and husband, Reuben Hoff of McCook, and Charlene and husband, Ronald Miner of Lexington; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 2 p.m., at the First Congregational Church in McCook with the Rev. Steve King officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

The casket will remain closed in accordance with her wishes. Friends may sign her book at the funeral home Tuesday and Wednesday during business hours (please use the south door entrance on C Street.) Friends and family may also go online at www.carpenterbreland.com to extend condolences.
