Elaine Walter Botts, 68, died Sunday (April 24, 2005) at Community Hospital of McCook.

She was born July 1, 1936, in Lincoln to Raymond P. and Thelma T. (Teaford) Walter. She graduated from Curtis High School in 1954 and attended Colorado Women's College in Denver, Colo., for two years.

On June 17, 1956, she married Dean Botts in Purdum. To this union three children were born. They moved to the McCook community in 1975 where she was a homemaker.

She attended Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Walter; and one brother, Rodney Walter.

Survivors include her husband, Dean Botts of McCook; two sons, John Botts and wife, Colleen and Mark Botts, all of McCook; one daughter, Lisa and husband, Kenneth Turner of Skidmore, Mo.; her mother, Thelma Adams of McCook; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services are Friday, 11 a.m., at Purdum Church of Christ with the Rev. Judy Cook officiating. Burial will be in the Purdum Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
