OBERLIN -- Joan Moore, 72, died Thursday (Feb. 24, 2005) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

She was born July 17, 1932, to Frank and Fyme (Thurman) Robinson in Warsaw, Mo. She was raised in Warsaw and attended grade school there. She graduated from high school in 1949 in Warsaw.

On Dec. 25, 1951, she married Francis Moore in Kansas City, Kan. They lived in Kansas City until 1957. They then moved to Los Angeles, Calif., until 1980, when the couple moved to Oberlin. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the New Home Baptist Church in Warsaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Marsha Eubank; and a sister, Jean Anderson.

Survivors include her husband, Francis Moore of Oberlin; daughters, Rita Philbrook-Krier and husband, Kelly of Atlanta, Ga., and Patty Savage and husband, Mike of Atlanta; son-in-law, Bill Eubank of Mission Viejo, Calif.; sister, Jane Mead and husband, John of Fayette, Mo.; three grandchildren; and one step-grandson.

Services are Monday, 11 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Doug Hasty officiating. Interment will be in Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, 1-8 p.m., and Monday, 8 a.m., until service time.

Memorials may be given to the City of Hope Cancer Center.
