Judith A. 'Judy' Ockerman

OBERLIN -- Judy Ockerman, 51, died Wednesday (Feb. 9, 2005) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

She was born Nov. 4, 1953, to Harold E. and Doris A. (Wilson) Ockerman in Oberlin. She was raised in New Mexico and graduated from Shiprock High School in Shiprock, N.M. She attended Evangelical College in Springfield, Mo.

She taught high school for 17 years in Shiprock and college for three years in Durango, Colo.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Oberlin and the New Mexico NEA.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold E. Ockerman.

Survivors include her mother, Doris and husband, Edwin Black of Oberlin and brother, Wilson and wife, Betty Ockerman of Mesa, Ariz.

Services are Saturday, 2:30 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home of Oberlin with the Rev. Royce Leitner officiating. Interment will be in Oberlin Cemetery in Oberlin.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a. m.-service time at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given in her name.
