Harold Dean Williamson, 71, died Dec. 31, 2004, at New Braumfels, Texas, after a long battle with brain cancer.

He was born May 27, 1933, to Clifford and Esther (Woods) Williamson in Stratton.

After growing up in Nebraska he served in the Army and the Charlotte, S.C., police department.

He spend most of his years with the border patrol in El Paso, Texas. He also served in Washington and California. He retired from the U. S. Border Patrol and worked nine years as a federal court security officer in San Antonio. After living five years in Stratton, he and his wife, returned to South Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Louise of New Braumfels; sons, Michael and wife, Sharon Williamson of El Paso and Ronald and wife, Tracy Williamson of Austin; daughter, Susan and John Lyons of El Paso; step-daughters, Joanne and Mark Holbrook of San Antonio and Tanya and Mike Ullery of West Virginia; brothers, the Rev. Edward and Starlene Williamson of Monclova, Mexico and Stan and Brenda Williamson of San Antonio; sister, Claudia Coates of Houston; and 10 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Missionary organization his brother serves in Mexico. Donations may be sent to Ed Williamson Ministries at Faith Baptist Church, 3405 Williams Highway, Grants Pass, OR 97527.
