Vernice Mary Weskamp, 95, died Friday (Dec. 17, 2004) at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.

She was born July 23, 1909 to Henry Joseph and Mabel (Williams) Weskamp at Indianola. She graduated from Danbury High School in 1927 and lived in this area all her life.

She taught in several rural schools in the area and at St. Patrick's Grade School.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Altar Society.

Preceding her in death were parents; and a brother Elmer J. Weskamp.

Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Graff and husband Martin and Elsie Sullivan, all of McCook; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials are being accepted in her name or may be given the Alzheimer's Association.

Rosary is today, 7 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook.

Mass of Christian burial is Tuesday 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
