MINNEAPOLIS, Kan. -- Margaret Mary Wyatt, 72, of Norton, died Saturday (April 3, 2004) at Ottawa County Health Care Center in Minneapolis, Kan.

She was born May 22, 1931, to Frank and Veronica (Lashinski) Ringwelski in Little Falls, Minn. She grew up in Little Falls and attended school there. She also attended college and majored in acting.

On June 30, 1951, she married Harrison Lowell "Squirt" Wyatt in Los Angeles, Calif. The moved to Norton where they made their home farming and ranching until retiring in 1981. In 2000, she moved to Minneapolis to be near family.

She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Norton and other various organizations.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two infant daughters, Yvonne and Renee; one grandson, Trevor Michael Smith; five brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors include five children, Anita Farrington of Minneapolis; Joy Fischer of Ellis, Kan., Julie and husband, Mike Smith of Wilsonville; Jay and wife, Susan Wyatt of Lebanon and Jon and wife, Eva Wyatt of Norton; two brothers, George and wife, Adeline Ringwelski and Ed and Lucille Ringwelski, all of St. Paul, Minn.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial is Wednesday, 10 a.m., at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church in Norton with the Rev. Vincent Thu Laing officiating. Interment will be Norton Cemetery.

The rosary will be recited today, 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given in her name to St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church in Norton or Ottawa County Health System in Minneapolis, Minn.
