CAMBRIDGE -- Jimmie R. Gerard, 55, died Wednesday (March 24, 2004) at his home in Cambridge.

He was born Dec. 26th 1948, to Marvin and Edna Mae (Nelson) Gerard in Longmont, Colo.

He lived in Loveland most of his life until he moved to McCook. He worked at the rendering plant and was a mechanic.

He lived with his brother Billy and sister-in-law, Pat. He had been sick with diabetes for a long time.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Billy and Shorty Gerard.

Survivors include his sister, Karla and husband, Robert Istas of Columbia, Mo.; sister-in-law, Patricia Gerard of Cambridge; and 8 nieces and nephews and 9 great-nieces and nephews.

Services are Monday, 10 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Chapel. Inurnment will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may sign his book at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in his name.
