Vermeer, Johnson wedding

Jessica and Jeffrey Johnson

Jessica N. Vermeer of Lincoln and Jeffrey L. Johnson of McCook were united in marriage Aug. 16, 2003, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McCook with the Rev. John Strecker-Baseler officiating.

Parents of the couple are Sharon K. Vermeer of Lincoln, Mike Ude of Lincoln and Randy and Irene Johnson of McCook.

Grandparents of the couple are Ellen Yates, Bob and Kathy Yates, Mary Ude, all of Lincoln and Chuck and Betty Johnson of Kearney, Iva Fritz of McCook and Lulu Troudt of Sedalia, Mo.

The bride wore a white, long, raw silk gown with sheer sleeves. It was decorated with beads and sequins. She carried a bouquet of burgundy roses with ivy and white ribbon.

The bridegroom wore a black tuxedo with a hunter green vest. His boutonniere was made of small burgundy and white roses.

The maid of honor was Mandi Jensen of Lincoln. The bridesmaid was Caitlin Hayes of Lincoln. They each wore a tea length burgundy gowns. They carried burgundy roses with large ivy leaves and white ribbon.

The best man was Ryan Steinhoff of Lincoln. The bridegroomsman was Jon Johnson of McCook, brother of the bridegroom. They wore a black tuxedos with hunter green vests.

The candlelighters were Nick Wilcox of Prescott, Wis., cousin of the bridegroom

Ushers for the Carl and Craig Fritz of McCook, cousins of the bridegroom.

The pianist was Kay Neuhaus of McCook.

The reception was at the bridegroom's parents house in the back yard.

The couple is making their home in McCook.
