Myrva Dolene Norman of McCook, 88, died Friday (Dec. 12, 2003) at Hillcrest Nursing Home.

She was born Dec. 14, 1914, in McCook to Earnest W. and Grace M. (Haegen) Houser. She graduated from McCook High School in 1932.

On Oct. 23, 1936, she married Eugene E. "Curly" Norman in McCook. They celebrated 48 years of marriage prior to his passing away in 1985.

She was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church since 1944 and the B.P.O Does.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Eugene and her brother Dale W. Houser.

Survivors include three sons, Dion Norman and wife, Alice of Oberlin, Jerry Norman and wife, Joan of Broomfield, Colo., and Robert Norman of Omaha; five grandchildren, Angie Wasdyke, Belinda Serrano, Jeff Norman, Pam Miller and Debbie Thompson; eight great-grandchildren, Josh Wasdyke, Noah Wasdyke, Jacob Serrano, Avery Norman, Lindsay Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Jaylene Miller, Danielle Miller.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook, with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Internment will be in Trenton Cemetery.

Visitation was Monday until 6 p.m. and Tuesday until 8 p.m. Family will be receiving friends from 7-8 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorials may be given in her name to the Memorial United Methodist Church, Meals On Wheels or to Hillcrest Nursing Home.
