Kent A. Guthrie

Kent A. Guthrie, of Arvada, Colo., was born Dec. 19, 1947, in Indianola, Neb., and passed away suddenly Sept. 26, 2003, while at work. The funeral service was held Oct. 1, in Arvada. His parents, LaVerne and Barbara Guthrie preceded in death.

Kent graduated from Red Willow High School in 1966. He earned his bachelor's degree from Metro State College in Denver and passed the CPA exam. He was dedicated employee of Sundyne (formerly Sundstrand) Corp. for twenty years.

Jeralyn (Jeri) Waddell and Kent were married Sept. 11, 1976. In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Erik and wife, Jill of Lafayette, Colo.; a daughter, Kendra of Arvada; two grandchildren, Kyra and Lucas; three brothers, Virgil of McCook, Ronald of Kansas City and Kenneth of Arvada; three sisters, Carol Ball of McCook, Hazel Wilson of Hanceville, Ala., Jessie Kildare of Jackson, Miss., numerous nieces and nephews, many other relatives and a host of friends.

Kent was a devoted family man and very proud of his children. He was always involved in their numerous athletic and musical activities and he surrounded his children with a wealth of support. He will be greatly missed.
