JENNINGS, Kan. -- Bennie Krizek, 69, died Friday, (Oct. 19, 2001) at rural Jennings.

He was born July 23, 1932, at Jennings to Anthony and Emily (Shimek) Krizek. He was raised on the family farm near Jennings, and graduated from Jennings High School. He served in the U.S. Army.

On Aug. 4, 1967, he married Dee Anna Rathburn at the Methodist Church in Oberlin. He was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Dee Anna of rural Jennings; two sons, David Krizek and wife, Jeanette of Jennings, and Tony Krizek and wife, Michele of Hays, Kan.; one daughter, Mary McEvoy and husband, Lonnie of Oberlin; and five grandchildren.

Services were today at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with the Rev. Doug Hasty officiating. Interment was at Big Timber Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in his name to the Big Timber Cemetery Fund.

Pauls Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
