Harold L. Robison

OBERLIN -- Harold L. Robison, 80, died Wednesday (Dec. 12, 2001) at the Casa Grande Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 21, 1921, in Harlan County to Ira Elmer and Clara Edith (Fringer) Robison. He was raised in Oberlin, and graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1938.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

In June, 1941 he married Lela Huber. He was a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

He was a member of the Oberlin Methodist Church, Casa Grande Methodist Church, Oberlin Lions Club, Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Oberlin American Legion Post No. 70, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lela on July 3, 1997; five brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors include one son, Bill Robison and wife, Connie of Oberlin; two daughters, Mary Hupka and husband, Earl and Sue Elliott and husband, Charles, all of Olathe, Kan.; one sister-in-law, Clara Robison of Great Falls, Mont.; and special friend Wilma May of Oberlin.

Services will be Tuesday, 1:30 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home of Oberlin with the Revs. Doug Hasty and Tom Smith officiating. Interment will be at the Oberlin Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, 8 am. to 8 p.m., and Tuesday, 8 a.m. until the service time.

Memorials may be given in his name to the Decatur County Hospice or to the donor's choice.
