Cornie L. Robison

TRENTON -- Cornie L. Robison, 83, died Sunday (Jan. 13, 2002) at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.

He was born Feb. 19, 1918, at Maumee, Ark., to Elbert Marion and Lillie Belle (Williams) Robison. He grew up in Maumee and received his education there.

On Oct. 10, 1941, he began his service with the U.S. Army Air Corps and served during World War II.

In 1952, he came to Trenton to work on the Trenton Dam.

On July 3, 1953, he married Betty Hidy at Trenton. They lived in Kansas, Minnesota and Montana before returning to Trenton in 1957.

He was a life member of the Church of Christ and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Warren Robison, Robert Robison, Vernon Robison and Fred Robison.

Survivors include his wife, Betty of Trenton; one son, James and wife, Twylla Robison of Trenton; three sisters, Edna Williamson of Salinas, Calif., Mary Branch of Yellville, Ark., and Katherine and husband, Johnny Ezell of St. Joe, Ark.; three brothers, Ray Robison, Clarence and wife, Marion Robison, and Charles and wife, Carolyn Robison, all of Yellville, and Noah and wife, Opal Robison of Harrison, Ark.

Services will be Thursday, 2:30 p.m., at the Church of Christ in Stratton with Randy Hays officiating. Interment, with military honors, will be at the Trenton Cemetery.
