ARAPAHOE -- Ron D. Morse, 62, Thursday (Jan. 24, 2002) at C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe.

He was born Jan. 15, 1940, in Arapahoe to Daniel and Mary (Inman) Morse. He grew up in Arapahoe and Cambridge. He moved to El Segundo, Calif., where he graduated from El Segundo in 1959.

After graduation he enlisted in the U. S. Navy. He worked as a mechanic in the Navy and in civilian service at North Island and Santa Maria, Calif.

On Feb. 9, 1979, he married Kathy Scruggs in Las Vegas, Nev. They made their home in Arapahoe and ran a fish hatchery east of Arapahoe.

He was preceded in death by his father; and one son, James Morse.

Survivors include wife, Kathy of Arapahoe; his mother, Mary of Norton, Kan.; one son, Daniel Morse of Arapahoe; one daughter, Teresa and husband, Douglas Daniels of Norton, Kan.; one sister, Arlene "Sisy" and husband, Earl Lebsack of Santa Maria, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be Monday, 1:30 p.m., in Arapahoe. The exact location will be announced later. Interment will be at the Arapahoe Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday until 8 p.m., Sunday, 1 - 8 p.m. at the Williamson-Wenburg Funeral Home and Monday prior to the service.

Williamson-Wenburg Funeral Home of Arapahoe is in charge of the arrangements.
