Bobby J. Richardson

Bobby J. Robertson, 73, died Saturday (March 2, 2002) at his son's home in Cheney, Kan.

He was born Feb. 24, 1929, to Daniel H. and Lola (Dale) Robertson in a suburb of Kansas City, Mo. He grew up at Shawnee Mission, Kan. where he graduated from Shawnee Mission High School in 1947. He then graduated from Kansas City Junior College.

On Sept. 3, 1951 he married Glema "Lee" Carr. He worked as a sales manager for automobile dealerships in Kansas, Iowa, and Illinois before moving to McCook in 1986, where he worked for First National Bank until retiring in 2000.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glema in 1986.

Survivors include one son, Daniel C. and wife, Rebecca Robertson of Cheney; and two granddaughters, also of Cheney.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 2 p.m., at the Egan Park Baptist Church in McCook with the Rev. Don Murphy officiating. Interment will be in the Alma Cemetery at Alma.

Memorials may be given in his name and friends may call at Herrmann Funeral Home in McCook which is in charge of arrangements.
