Wayne R. Matson

Wayne R. Matson, 68, died Friday (March 29, 2002) at Community Hospital in McCook.

He was born March 8, 1934, at Culbertson, to Clifford LeRoy and Cleo Ethel (Hoskins) Matson. He graduated from Culbertson High School. He served for a time in the U. S. Air Force until he was honorably discharged.

On March 23, 1981, he married Marilyn M. Shull at Las Vegas, Nev. He was owner/operator of an upholstery shop in Culbertson.

In 1990, he moved to McCook and had his own business Wayne's Trim Shop.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother LeRoy Matson.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Matson of McCook; son, Clifton Matson of Lincoln; two daughters, Alberta and husband, Leonard Cole, of Palisade and Carmen and husband, Randy Eschliman, of McCook; one sister, Dolores and husband, Richard Christner, of Culbertson; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Egan Park Baptist Church with Pastor Don Murphy and Mike Roth officiating. A private family interment will be at Riverview Cemetery on Tuesday morning.

There will be no public visitation.
