Grace N. Kennedy

Grace N. Kennedy, 98, died Wednesday (March 27, 2002) at Mapel Crest Care Center in Omaha.

She was born Sept. 6, 1903, to Clarence and Nellie (Pinkham) Runyan at Minden. She graduated from Minden High School in 1921.

On Nov. 28, 1929, she married Donald G. Kennedy, who was a train dispatcher. They moved to McCook in 1928.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star, and the BPO Does.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1974; three brothers, Cloyd Runyan, Russell Runyan, and Faye Runyan; and one sister, Merle Layton.

Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn and husband, Joe Kubin of Omaha; one grandson; and two great-granddaughters.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at the Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.

Memorials may be given in her name and friends may call at Herrmann Funeral Home in McCook which is in charge of arrangements.
