Emmett Doyle

BUTTE -- Emmett Doyle, 94, died Sunday (April 14, 2002) at Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill.

He was born June 5, 1907, at Brocksburg to Edward and Dora (Munger) Doyle.

In 1928, he married Hazel Williams in Winner, S.D. They made their home in Brocksburg where they operated a family ranch.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hazel; one son, Leroy; one brother; six sisters; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Harlan of Butte; three daughters, Delores Schmitz of Lynch; Marian and husband, Darrell Finwall of Aberdeen, S.D., and DeAnna and husband, Darrell Schrader of Rapid City, S.D.; one sister, Patricia Moore of Newport; one brother, George and wife, Amber Doyle of Newport; twenty one grandchildren; fifty great-grandchildren; and twelve great-great-grandchildren. Local survivors include a grandson, Craig and wife, Linda Schmitz of Trenton.

Services were today, 10:30 a.m. at the St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church at Butte with the Rev. Ladell Lape officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Gregory, S.D.
