Lidya 'Lela' Klein

RED LODGE, Mont. -- Lidya "Lela" Klein, 98, died Wednesday (Jan. 16, 2002) at the Cedar Wood Villa in Red Lodge, Mont.

She was born Jan 22, 1903, to Conrad and Marie Amen Bauer in McCook. When she was young, the family moved to Colorado where they farmed.

On Feb. 11, 1924, she married Samuel Klein in Iliff, Colo.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, Samuel in 1975.

Survivors include one son, Gaylen Klein and wife, JoAnn of Red Lodge; one daughter, Jeanette and husband, Bob Esteb of Sugar Land, Texas; two sisters, Emma Shirley of Fort Collins, Colo. and Palma Bettale of Broomfield, Colo.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside inurnment services will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery at McCook with the Rev. Rod Church officiating.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of one's choice.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
