Sharon K. Hamilton

NORTH PLATTE -- Sharon K. Hamilton, 63, died Tuesday (Aug. 6, 2002) at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.

She was born Oct. 12, 1938, in McCook to Floyd and Norine (O'Connell) Carr. She graduated from Palisade High School.

She served in the U. S. Air Force. She had resided in North Platte for the past 20 years where she had worked at Linden Manor as a dietitian and Best Western Circle C South. For the past 12 years she had worked at Wal-Mart as a sales associate.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Dr. Creda Thompson.

Survivors include her son, Jared Hamilton and wife, Jenny of Norfolk; a sister, Devona and husband, Eugene Houghtelling of McCook; two brothers, Gary Carr and wife, Judy of Holdrege and Harlan Carr of Julesburg, Colo.; and a grandson.

Services will be Friday, 11 a.m., at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte with the Rev. K.F. Kaleuati officiating. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given in her name.
