Letha M. Campbell

BEAVER CITY -- Letha M. Campbell, 84, died Saturday (Nov. 16, 2002) at the Beaver City Manor.

She was born Feb. 13, 1918, at Virginia, to Peter and Francis (Lilly) Dunn. The family moved to Stamford where she attended school.

On April 25, 1936, she married Gerald "Buzzy" Campbell at Fort Collins, Colo. They farmed west of Beaver City. They retired in 1981, and moved into Beaver City. She moved to the manor two weeks ago.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Beaver City, United Methodist Women's Group, The Bridge Club, Woman's Club and Golden Rod Extension Club all of Beaver City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald "Buzzy" in 2001; one son, William; five brothers, Ray, Thomas, Cecil, John and Dwight; four sisters, Velma Williams, Eunice Longsine, Laura Marble and Pauline Tamlin. Survivors include one son, Richard Campbell and wife, Judy of Beaver City; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 1:30 p.m., at First United Methodist Church in Beaver City with Linda Knipping officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City.

Visitation will be today until 8 p.m., and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home and prior to services at the church Wednesday.
