CULBERTSON -- Harvey E. Moore, 95, died Thursday (March 13, 2003) at the El Dorado Manor Nursing Home in Trenton.

He was born July 20, 1907, in Beardsley, Kan., to Thomas and Chloe Ollie (Hanners) Moore, Sr. He grew up in Southwest Nebraska where he graduated from rural school in Hitchcock County.

On Jan. 14, 1936, he married Eileen McNeice at Norton, Kan. They resided at Culbertson until 1941, where he was a truck driver for C.O. Claus Produce. They moved to North Platte in 1942, where he was manager for Swift & Company Poultry Plant which became S.A. Swanson Soup Company. He drove truck for them until 1959. They returned to Culbertson where he worked in sales for Cooper Feed Company until retiring in 1979.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Edgar, Paul, Walter, Thomas, and John Moore; and one sister, Edith Coleman.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen of Culbertson; two sons, Rodney Moore and wife, Jeannine of Lincoln and Darryl Moore and wife, Sue of Imperial; one sister, Mary Ellen and husband, John Adair of Tula Lake, Calif.; six granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, 10:30 a.m., at the Herrmann Funeral Chapel in Culbertson with the Rev. Dan Spearow officiating. Interment will be in the Culbertson Cemetery at Culbertson.
