KENESAW -- Margaret C. Hinz, 94, died Sunday (June 8, 2003) at Perkins Good Samaritan Village in Hastings.

She was born Dec. 6, 1908, in Adams County, to Tieman and Martha (Naggatz) Dudden. She graduated from Kenesaw High School in 1926.

On March 16, 1927, she married Reinhold Hinz in Kenesaw. She worked as a salesperson for Brach-Thompson, Woolworth and Schweser's in Hastings. After retiring from the stores, she went to work at the Hastings Tribune. She put out the Shotgun News. She moved to the Good Samaritan Village in Hastings in July 2001.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kenesaw. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reinhold on June 4, 1963; one sister, Elsie; and one brother, William Dudden.

Survivors include two daughters, Georgia Osler of Kenesaw and Ramona and husband, Harvey Hofman of Indianola; one sister, Helen Bostock of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 11 a.m., at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kenesaw with the Rev. Paul Duffy officiating. Interment will be at the Kenesaw Cemetery.

Visitation is today until 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home in Kenesaw and Thursday one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorials may be given in her name to the Lutheran Hour.
