Michael Rauch

Michael “Mike” Kevin Rauch, age 68, passed away at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City in the Philippines, October 21, 2025. Mike was born June 5, 1957 in McCook, Nebraska to parents Arlene Beth Rauch (nee Grosch) and Grant “Slim” Orville Rauch. He was the youngest of four children and graduated from McCook Highschool in 1975. Mike went to the Philippines earlier this year to be with his fourth wife, Laila, who he met on-line in 2022 and then married in an on-line ceremony in 2023. Mike was married several years to his third wife, Beverly “BJ” Rauch (nee Taylor) of Westminster, CO, with whom he helped to raise her two children.

Mike is preceded in death by both his parents and oldest sister, Cheryl Lynn Greunke (nee Rauch). He is survived by his older sister, Debbie Rauch, and older brother, Stephen Rauch; his stepmother, Carolyn Rauch; third wife, BJ; stepdaughter, Tamina Smith, and her daughter, Tayia Byes; and his stepson, Stephen Forbes, and his wife, Nicole, and their children CiAirra, Luis, Vincent, and Thomas; and his brother-in-law, Alvin Greunke, and sister-in-law, Dola Rauch. Mike is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Kelly Greunke, Christy Gander, Jennifer Taravella, Stephanie Levy, Andrew Wright, Nicholas Rauch, Cara Rauch, Ryan Rauch, and Lisa Rauch Davidson.

Mike retired from Lowe’s while living in Westminster, Colorado, where he worked in sales, management, and human resources. After retiring, Mike moved to Pierce, Nebraska. Mike ‘never knew a stranger’, and he could strike up a conversation with anyone. His gift for gab was matched only by his outrageous sense of humor that sometimes bordered on ornery and occasionally got him into a little trouble. Mike was loved and will be missed.
