Bison girls lead area runners across Wildhorse

GOTHENBURG, Neb. — McCook senior Emma Cappel earned second place and classmate Brecken Gale took 20th in the tough Gothenburg Invitational at Wildhorse Golf Course on Thursday.
Comments from Bison coach Tom Sughroue.
“I felt we ran very well on a warm day and a difficult course,” he remarked. Emma finished 2nd and Brecken finished 20th. Wasn’t their fastest races of the season but with the difficulty of the course and weather I felt they ran very well.”
“Rinlee Blomstedt continues to run very well, winning the girls junior high race (shown below) he added. “Rinlee has won every race she has competed in this season.”
