McCOOK, Neb. — McCook High School alum and Nebraska Cornhuskers football legend Jeff Kinney visited with fans while eating lunch at Citta Deli Friday afternoon.
Kinney made a rare return visit to McCook with two more Bison alums who both joined the University of Oklahoma Sooners football program.
More will appear in an upcoming McCook Gazette. Kinney was one of Nebraska’s first national champions on the Bob Devaney-coach 1970 and 1971 teams where he scored four touchdowns against Oklahoma during that “Game of The Century”.
He went on to play in the National Football with Kansas City and Buffalo where he blocked for OJ Simpson.
