Higher seeds advance through subdistrict volleyball Monday
BARTLEY, Neb. — Higher seeds advanced through without too much trouble during Nebraska subdistrict volleyball action Monday.
At Bartley, the undefeated Southwest Roughriders ended Arapahoe’s quest with a 25-9, 25-10, 25-14 sweep.
The No. 4-seed Warriors had earlier topped No. 5 Hi-Line 25-21, 20-25, 25-17, 25-20.
No. 2 Cambridge (21-9) record captured a four-set victory over Wauneta-Palisade, who posted a 17-13 record this season.
The Trojans and Roughriders meet tonight though both teams will likely advance into Saturday’s district finals.
No. 1 Dundy County-Stratton and No. 2 Hitchcock County both swept their D-2 subdistrict semifinals at Benkelman on Monday.
Meanwhile, No. 1 Chase County swept Chadron and faces No. 2 Ogallala in Imperial.
