McCOOK, Neb. — Heidi Jeannine Trosper, age 62, passed away at Community Hospital in McCook on Monday, Oct. 17, 2022.

She was born in Merrick, Long Island, N.Y., on March 26, 1960, to Earnest and Raenelle (Snedicker) Bornkessel. She attended and graduated high School in Merrick Long Island, N.Y.

She met Gregory Trosper in Arizona and they later married on Aug. 14, 1993, at the Congregational Church in McCook. Although they continued to travel, they primarily resided in McCook. They raised two children, Britta and Kaden, who then each had a grandchild, Chase and Tyson.

Heidi was a kind and lively person who loved to rescue stray animals, shop, travel and ride motorcycles. She and Greg traveled all over the United States on their Harleys, including Sturgis and the Old West Ballon Festival, that were a couple of her favorite destinations.

She loved her family and friends whom she kept in touch with regularly and her pets (two of which were rescues, of course!)

In keeping with Heidi’s wishes, the family chose cremation. A Celebration of Life will be at a future date to commemorate Heidi’s preference to parties over funerals.
