Bison girls race to sixth in state, sophomore boy medals

McCook junior Sienna Dutton calmly conquers Kearney Country Club like an experienced state runner as she earned eighth overall in Class C to lead the Bison Friday afternoon.

McCook sophomore Malia Miller finished her first varsity cross country season in fine style for the Class C top six Bison girls Friday afternoon.

McCook senior Samantha Rodewald was showing her usual intensity while running with Class C's best at Kearney Country Club. Unfortunately, some hydration issues forced Rodewald to stop about 500 meters from the finish line. She medaled during her first three state championship meet and was on pace for perhaps a top five finish.

McCook sophomore Josiah Wilkinson still has strong focus on the home stretch of Friday's Class C boys state championship race. He claimed a No. 9 place and medal on this warm afternoon at Kearney Country Club.
